ColorBlender is a free online tool for color matching and color palette design.
It works like this - you start by choosing a color in the first box, after which the site suggests a range of colors that work with your starting color. Add a second color and the range of the palette will be adjusted to work with both of them. It allows you to save sets and return and update them. And you can browse color palettes created and saved by other users. A very interesting interface and a great tool for anybody that might not feel confident with choosing colors.

Artist Alison Jackson is best known for her unique portraits of celebrities. However, Jackson has actually never photographed the people who appear to be in her photos. this is because jackson uses look-alikes to pose in embarrassing or scandalous paparazzi style photos. Her work is on show in ‘starstruck’ an exhibition of art and the cult of celebrity at the new art gallery walsall some of her images

"Park Slope artist Alex Grey is known for his love of LSD and the vivid, elaborate body of work that has often been inspired by it. His paintings have graced album covers for Nirvana, Tool, and String Cheese Incident—not to mention rave flyers and sheets of blotter acid.
Juan Pablo Fernandez, who lives in Sunset Park, describes Grey's work as "the best art that has come out in the last couple hundred years. Not only is it beautiful, but it has depth and meaning to it."
Sweet words, but the two soft-spoken men have squared off in a lawsuit that raises questions about art piracy and permissible sales practices on the Internet.
Fernandez has been selling—or, rather, reselling—Grey's work online. Last month, the artist filed a copyright-infringement suit against him. Grey doesn't dispute his fan's right to resell the prints, which Fernandez bought at retail price straight from Grey's gallery before framing them, marking them up, and advertising them online. Rather, he is suing Fernandez for posting online photos of the art. Says Grey: "I worked all my life to create the art, and it's very easy to reproduce it now—these grand pictures online." He equates the online images to clip art, which is anonymous and easily available to right-click and copy."

Flavor tripping parties
AT "flavor tripping" parties, guests eat a berry known as
miracle fruit temporarily rewires taste buds, turning
sour flavors sweet. Those who attended sampled the
red berries then tasted foods, including cheese, beer
and brussels sprouts, finding the flavors transformed.
Beer can taste like chocolate, lemons like candy.
Mr. Aliquo says he holds the parties to “turn on a
bunch of people’s taste buds.”
